Autism Network Singapore
Shining a different light on autism
The Brief
Show Singaporeans that persons on the autism spectrum are not broken or mental. They are just different. Simply put: perfectly imperfect.
The Work
Through social media campaign ‘This Is Me’, executed during World Autism Awareness Month 2022, we encouraged the public to see persons on the autism spectrum in a different light. At the heart of our campaign were 10 feature stories of inspiring individuals – persons on the autism spectrum, caregivers, and professional staff – accompanied by a series of comics that highlighted several little-known aspects of living on the spectrum.
The Results
We landed coverage in top-tier local press including The Straits Times, Mothership, Berita Harian, and AsiaOne, and received shout-outs on social media from local celebrities such as Paul Foster and Adrian Pang, and Member of Parliament Denise Phua. The campaign was awarded the 2022 W³ Award (Silver) by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts in New York in the Social Content & Marketing-Cause Awareness category and the Marketing Excellence Award in Singapore (Bronze) for Excellence in Public Sector/Non-Profit Marketing.
