Bringing Spanish football to Asia
The Brief
If you’d told us five years ago we would be working with a world-class football club, we might have laughed you out of Tai Seng, then Singapore. Yet, in 2019 we did just that. We helped Spanish LaLiga club Valencia CF strengthen its global outreach by driving engagement in Southeast Asia, where a large number of their fans reside in countries like Indonesia and Malaysia.
The Work
It was easy game for us armchair athletes. No running on the field for us; we ran Batzine instead, the only online English-language fan magazine dedicated to all things Valencia that we conceptualised and created from scratch. Match reports, exclusive interviews, opinion pieces, and even travel insights – you name it, we probably went loco on it. We also launched and managed multiple social media platforms in several languages – including English, Indonesian, Chinese, and Korean.
The Results
We gained almost 130,000 followers across social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter), reaching a peak of over a million viewers.
