The Brief
What makes a house a home? As HDB celebrated its 60th birthday, we were tasked to create a (free!) e-book that would give the public a peek into six decades of evolution in Singapore’s public housing scene.
The Work
Public housing is a source of national pride, so we made sure to do our homework. We conducted over 30 interviews with policymakers, engineers, architects, and designers, and even went on field trips to check out public housing estates first-hand, from Commonwealth, to Pinnacle@Duxton, and all the way to Punggol Northshore.
The Results
Home, Truly, a glossy commemorative coffee table book detailing HDB’s growth and commitment to housing a nation over the last 60 years. HBD, HDB!
